Pharmacologist, Non-Clinical Development, Clinical & Non-Clinical R&D

We are offering a challenging specialist position as a Pharmacologist in Non-Clinical Development for 15 months. The department is responsible for non-clinical development programs and safety testing of compounds in late research and development as well as providing support to marketed products.
Your main responsibility will be to participate in overseeing pharmacology studies or non-clinical safety testing for assigned CTA/IND and clinical stage candidates in development. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Design and manage pharmacology studies for assigned drug candidates, support clinical development or life-cycle management. Process documents in data-management systems.
- Contract research laboratory (CRO) study director interactions/monitoring, study result interpretation, and report finalisation. Monitoring of academic studies, and implementation of new PK/PD models, and building up scientific knowledge depending on qualifications.
- Serve as lead non-clinical representative on selected project teams or sub-teams. Network with analytics, formulation development, clinical development. Contribute to publications.
- Prepare all relevant non-clinical regulatory documents (tabulated and written study summaries in e-Common Technical Document format, Investigator Brochures, and integrated summaries for submissions, non-clinical overviews) and respond to queries from Regulatory Authorities.
We expect you to hold a Ph.D. degree in pharmacology or life-sciences with preferably 5 - 10 years post-graduate experience as a pharmacologist within the pharmaceutical industry/academia in non-clinical development. Experience with the worldwide non-clinical testing guidelines to support clinical development and drug registration would be an advantage.
You are fluent in English, both spoken and written, and have good communication skills. You will have to thrive on working independently with tasks, but should also be keen on maintaining a close collaboration with colleagues and specialists in the team and other departments in a multicultural environment within a changing and evolving company. You are a focused, quality-minded, a proactive problem solver and a strong team-player with the ability to analyse integrate and translate complex data and make recommendations occasionally to tight deadlines.
