HR Information System Consultant

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated HR Information System Consultant, who would like to become part of the VELUX HR team supporting our HR information systems Workday and Cornerstone. In this role, you will work in a complex global HR context mixing system support with the development and implementation of changes and new functionalities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing team.
As HR Information System Consultant, you will refer to the director of global HR information systems, and work in a team with four dedicated colleagues. You will be collaborating closely with the global HR process owners, technical Workday support in IT and with our HR operations teams globally.
This position has hands-on responsibility for second level system support, configuration, new release management and testing and for identifying enhancements and new functionalities. You will be part of the final stages of our implementation and global Workday go-live February 2017. After an initial period of hypercare and stabilisation, you and the new support organisation, will focus on the continued support as well as implementation of further Workday functionality.
Tasks include to:
- Handle system incidents and coordinate resolution with stakeholders
- Implement incident fixes, changes and new functionality (system configuration)
- Evaluate system impact of process owners change requests
- Identify and propose changes and new functionalities to implement
- Manage activities regarding implementation of new functionality (projects)
- Prepare and test new Workday releases twice a year
- Maintain system documentation
- Support system training and adoption
You bring to the position several years of experience from supporting cloud-based HR information systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors and Cornerstone or alternatively from SAP HR. You have worked with the development and configuration of employee lifecycle processes and with HR master data. You have in-depth experience with HR processes.
You will typically have experience from a similar position as HR IS specialist or consultant in larger organisations, and you could have gathered your experience from a position in HR Operations or as an HR Business Partner. As an educational background you have a degree in HR, economics, engineering, computer science, business administration or similar. You have excellent communication skills and you are fully proficient in English.
On a more personal level, it is essential that your analytical skills are excellent and that you have a structured and well-organised approach to tasks. You are service minded, meet your deadlines - you see the big picture and you know what it takes to make HR business processes work across a global organisational set-up.
