We are looking for a talented and skilful Demand Planner with a commercial mindset, a mind for numbers and a taste for ensuring an optimal utilisation of Arla’s capacity and resources. Arla Denmark in Aarhus is responsible for the production, sale and marketing of Arla Foods’ products in Denmark. Our overall target is to ensure that Arla always deliver the right quantity of fresh commodities to our customers.The position is a maternaity leave limited in time to 12 months.

You will plan and coordinate activities

As Demand Planner you will be reporting directly to the Demand Planning Manager and have a wide contact surface throughout Arla’s functional areas. In order to succeed you need to have a solid understanding of both the supply chain activities as well as all commercial aspects of forecasting. You will work to develop and enhance processes and tools applied in the department. In a high-paced work environment, we expect you to:

  • have an important stake in the Sales & Operations Planning processes
  • drive and participate in collecting commercial input from and ensuring alignment with our Sales and Category departments
  • improve forecast accuracy and bias over time by means of structured root cause analysis
  • maintain a wide contact surface and communicate with several departments

You are customer-oriented and analytical

You hold a degree focused on Supply Chain Management and have preferably been working with forecasting, planning and logistics for some years. You are an advanced IT-user and it is an advantage if you are familiar with SAP APO. In your approach, you are positive, goal-oriented and thrive when working autonomously. Additionally, you are a skilful communicator, able to work across departments and enjoy being held accountable for your actions. Furthermore, you have good written and verbal English skills.

In relation to your work, you are proactive, able to remain calm under pressure and utilise your analytical skills when solving problems. You are able to retain a customer and service-oriented approach to your work and possess excellent stakeholder management skills.
