Developing sales through agents as well as directly to end customers

After a thorough introduction to Cabinplant’s wide range of products and its business practices, you will be responsible for developing sales on a number of designated markets. Cabinplant is represented by agents in most markets, but as sales require a comprehensive technical clarification in relation to project and solution, you will be involved early in the sales phase as the company representative.

Based on direct customer inquiries, the market research done by agents or more ‘cold’ leads generated by your own or by marketing research, it will be your task to make the initial technical clarification with the customer, spar with the project department on possible solutions, and on this background prepare a quotation. Subsequently, you will be involved in the negotiation with the customer, and it will be your primary task to ensure, that the customer choses Cabinplant’s solution. This requires a very solution-oriented approach to the sales process, where you build trust with customers through follow-up and technical discussions, which enables you to get the ‘last bid’.

Technical insight and experience from international project sales

You are primarily commercial – but it is equally important that you have a solid technical insight as well as experience from international project sales, optimally from sales within processing equipment for the food industry. It is not a prerequisite that you have a background in engineering, but as your colleagues as well as customers have a high technical level, it is necessary that you have sufficient technical insight to be able to clarify the project with the customer, and to be able to spar with your colleagues in the project department on the solution.

Most importantly, you are able to build trust, you have a well-structured and focused approach to your work – and you know that perseverance and patience is essential to succeed in project sales.

You take an active interest in working with different cultures, and you are able to travel approx. 80 days per year.
