Planner, Inbound Logistic

A resourceful position in a globally leading company

With reference to the Inbound Logistics Manager, we are looking for a skilled and professional Inbound Logistic Planner to join the team. You will manage a versatile and comprehensive position with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. The position entails management of supplier development where you will need to establish a close cooperation with the suppliers globally, work with continuous improvements, secure that the vendor has the right information on time and work in a structured manner to reduce lead time and costs. You will order raw materials from a group of global suppliers in a material category to secure on-time deliveries, and you will be responsible for maintaining raw material safety stocks, using relevant tools to achieve the needed stock level. Hence, you will maintain and negotiate logistic agreements together with the supplier, and secure that logistic input, capacity and material flexibility are in line with the service level agreements. Moreover, you will secure that relevant fields in the master data are maintained and updated timely. Last but not least, you will be accountable for process development and optimisation to secure best practice across function areas and plants.

Proactive and innovative with a passion for logistics

You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent within logistics/supply chain management and have at least some years’ experience within purchasing, planning, logistics or supply chain. You have excellent skills within communication, organising, analysing and negotiating, and you understand and respect cultural differences. As a person, you are proactive, self-driven and persistent. You are structured and able to prioritise and manage time while maintaining the ability to monitor several processes simultaneously without losing focus. You possess a proactive and innovative mind-set and have a high ethical understanding. You respect and understand the business needs and take these into consideration in every decision, e.g. when participating in development of the supplier category. Your English skills are at an advanced level, both orally and in writing, and your IT skills are extensive as you understand the usage of the following: advanced MS Office (Excel, PPT), Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) as well as Lean skills and tools. Finally, you have advanced knowledge of logistics processes, e.g. MIFA, Kanban, VMI and consignment stock. Furthermore, SAP R3 (MM, PP) and Business Intelligence knowledge is an advantage.
