Market Access Manager Denmark

Abbott Denmark is located in Emdrup and is currently seeking a Market Access Manager for Abbott Diabetes Care in Denmark.

Abbott Diabetes Care is working with products to be used by persons with diabetes, allowing them to manage their diabetes and live life to the fullest.

We are looking for a person who can secure Abbott Diabetes Care as the preferred partner for key stakeholders, and who is analytical and action-oriented, with strong commercial capability. Your performance will be measured on the basis of clear goals and financial results; it is crucial that you understand the personal benefit of frequent performance evaluations to enjoy the position over time.

Major responsibilities

  • Secure that ADC products are reimbursed for patients
  • Provide leadership, tactical and operational direction related to the government health care and payer landscape, as well as large private sector customers
  • The position will proactively identify pricing and tendering challenges and opportunities and together with manager and cross-functional team find appropriate solutions and apply them
  • Be the interface with the payer and key stakeholders, such as but not solely the tender units, selected municipalities, SKI and tender units, leading to greater stakeholder understanding, proximity and management
  • Be the Market Access function point of contact in Denmark for the organization and towards local KAM personnel, securing stakeholder engagement and executing upon local healthcare opportunities
  • The position reports directly to the Market Access Manager Norway & Denmark and will interact with both local personnel as well as senior staff
  • Creation and implementation of short and long term partnership strategies that engage the payer and the key stakeholders to grow ADC business and maximizing the return on investment via all channels and stakeholder touch-points in the scope of the position
  • Reporting and analysis of all aspects of the payer/key stakeholder business and making recommendations to the Market Access Manager Norway & Denmark and leadership team based upon analysis that impacts the strategy of Denmark

Main tasks

  • Stakeholder relationship - Understanding stakeholder needs and trends in the industry and therapy sector. Be familiar with the key stakeholder needs within diabetes and the healthcare environment
  • Keep updated with market changes and trends for the short, mid and long term and communicate these perspectives to line manager and the senior management team
  • Anticipate changes to the payer, key decision maker and customer environment and assess potential impact to the ADC business
  • Possess and develop a level of expertise and knowledge that secure success and that creates a market access competence point for the ADC organization, payers, KOLs, key decision makers and various governmental and/ or private sector customers
  • Conduct and present tactical plans every quarter, as well as ad hoc mitigation plans whenever required. Both on request and pro-actively
  • The position is office based in the Copenhagen area, but requires time in field to achieve the objective of the position

  • Master’s degree and preferable strong track record with 5 years of market access experience from health related industries
  • Strong analytical, superior influencing, solid planning and impeccable relationship building skills
  • Competent computer skills, especially efficient in MS Office
  • Existing network amongst key stakeholders in Denmark will be valued
  • Fluent in Danish and English
  • Driver license
