Four Field Based MSL Oncology - Mundipharma

Mundipharma/Norpharma is part of a network of independent associated companies that are privately owned. The Mundipharma network has a presence in 51 countries with more than 7,800 employees across the world. The companies are committed to bringing to patients the benefits of significant new treatment options in the core therapy areas of pain, respiratory, addiction and oncology. During the next coming years, the company expects to launch new products within respiratory and supportive care in NSCLC and would like to establish a scientific network with lung specialists and oncologists.

Your new company

On behalf of Mundipharma, Hays is now recruiting four Medical Scientific Liaisons to be placed in Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden. The MSLs will be field based medical affairs ambassadors who interact with Health Care Professionals and internal stakeholders.

The MSLs will be part of an exciting journey and will be key members in the pre-launch and launch activities of a novel treatment within oncology/supportive care as well as for upcoming launches within respiratory. The MSLs will network primarily with oncologists and lung specialists. Some of the key role activities of the MSL will be:

Cross-functional role within the company where key internal stakeholders includes Nordic Medical Affairs Manager within the therapeutic areas as well as commercial functions e.g. Market Access and local Head of Sales and Marketing to ensure scientific credibility as well as ensuring that local priorities are met.
Work together with the market access team for formulary support and attend relevant hearings, contribute to projects for RWE etc.
Support Nordic Medical Affairs Team with local/national insights in guidelines, treatment pathways etc.

KOL support:
Identify and establish professional relationships with KOLs and relevant stakeholders within therapeutic areas on a regional and national level.
Set up and facilitate educational programs, advisory boards, and scientific symposia.
Identify key speakers within therapeutic areas.
Participate at relevant national/international congresses.
Develop and implement KOL plans.

Product Support:
As a national expert, contribute to the product lifecycle, starting in the pre-launch phase.
Provide credible and balanced scientific information to HCP regarding company products within therapeutic areas including unsolicited inquiries according to applicable regulations.
Support relevant collaborative project initiatives.
Provide internal and external medical training.
Contribute to company Medical Affairs Plan.

Clinical Support:
Discuss research proposals and provide support to investigator initiated trials (IITs).
Ensure compliance related to medical grants.
Provide input to the internal organization for sites for international studies.

What you'll need to succeed

Although the four MSLs work closely together as a team and report to the same manager, they will be the only MSL in their respective countries. Therefore, we are in search of candidates who are experienced in medical affairs and have a network amongst oncologists.

Minimum requirements
Scientific degree as BSc, MSc, PhD/Pharm D in life science
At least 3 successful years of experience from a MSL/Medical affairs role
Good previous record of accomplishment and experience within oncology
Strong skills in building and maintaining scientific networks
Experience of engaging KOLs in medical and collaborative projects
Understanding of processes and regulations within clinical research
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Planning and organizational skills
Fluency in English and in one Scandinavian language, in verbal and in writing
Open to frequent travel within the country (field-based position) as well as to participate in Nordic meetings a couple of times per month

Research experience
Experience from patient organization work
Strong skills in project management
