Supplier Quality Management Specialist

Maintain and improve our Supplier Quality Management System  

Your overall focus is to ensure compliance to global quality and food safety standards with a specific focus on raw materials and suppliers within the ISO 9001, 22000, FAMI QS, BRC, FSSC 22000 framework. You will do so by maintaining and improving our Supplier Quality Management system while you at the same time contribute to the building of a new and genuinely global setup.  

Your primary tasks  

  • Maintain and continuously improve our Supplier Quality Management System – requirements, templates, processes, documentation etc.  
  • Handle risk assessments, approval flows, specifications and change management of raw materials  
  • Complete maintenance schedule for raw material and documentation updates  
  • Handle vendor/manufacturer approval, risk assessment and evaluation  
  • Support and work with the entire organization on matters related to supplier quality management  

Our goal is that you also take global vendor Auditor responsibility with handling of business critical audits all over the world. Depending on your auditing experience and certifications this inspiring and challenging role can be yours from day one. When fully operational as auditor you can look forward to travel 20-30 days per year. You will be based at the Danish headquarters in Hørsholm and report to the Head of Supplier Quality Management.  

+3 years’ QA experience from the food industry  

You have a Masters degree within natural science and at least 3 years’ experience from working with quality in the food industry – e.g. product development, food safety, quality or regulatory. As such, you have knowledge of: HACCP, PRP, OPRP, manufacturing processes, production technology, products, raw materials and quality, food safety and safety issues, local and global food safety legislation and regulations. If you do not already have lead auditor certification (and experience), you are more than ready to get one.  

You have the communication skills it takes to communicate procedures and standards in an easy, understandable way. Related to this, you like to be part of a team where cooperation, knowledge sharing and helpfulness are key words. You have solid IT-skills in general – we work with MS Office, SharePoint and SAP as some of our primary systems. As you will be responsible for multiple tasks, you will also need solid overview, sense of details and ability to prioritise. At the same time, you are fully capable of making decisions based on a pragmatic attitude.  

Supplier Quality Management – your new department  

You will join a relatively new team having existed for approx. one year. We are born as a result of the Chr. Hansen journey towards globalisation, and now we are responsible for quality assurance of raw materials and suppliers across all sites. Our goal is to keep the engine running as smoothly as possible. As such, our overall focus is to meet our business needs as well as our customer’s requirements in the smartest possible way while never compromising on food safety.
