Operation Excellence Manager

Experienced Operation Excellence Manager with international reach.

Group Operations is a newly established part of Group Operations & Technology. Group Operations will be in charge of capturing the full potential of the Production and Supply Chain platform from a combined global and local perspective.

With reference to VP Group Operation, you will take up a unique position in the Group and together with your continuous improvement team be in close dialogue and co-operation with technical and factory management responsible for our more than 30 production units in Europe, Russia, Asia and North America.

Business requirements

Operating the production platform in an optimal and even smarter way is the absolute requirement for the ROCKWOOL Group to secure their market position and profitability. The ambition is to bring today’s focus on ROCKWOOL Operational Excellence combined with Supply Chain and Manufacturing management to the next level.

You will in this position as Operation Excellence Manager be a key player in identifying and driving the improvement potentials together with and across our different operating companies (OPCO’s). You will be the one leading the overall Operational Excellence Program, setting the strategic and operational direction in order to deliver the financial targets. You will be leading the implementation activities in the OPCO´s and production sites together with local managers and local teams.

Experienced manager with good business understanding

You have a solid experience in running major international projects from a senior level position.
You are used to overcome obstacles and barriers in a complex organization and have a strong and well documented track record in stakeholder management. You will in a dynamic and international environment work closely with management and experts in different areas of the business throughout the Group.

The ROCKWOOL Group is looking for an experienced profile with strong knowledge about the operation field, who is able to analyze, formalize and get buy-in for the Group ambition. You are driven and motivated by business results and changes while you have an ability to secure the good dialogue with OPCOs.

You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering, Business or Finance combined with strong experience in managing LEAN projects in manufacturing from one or more international companies. As such you have a solid overview of LEAN concepts and a solid tool-box. You are flexible and able to travel around 90 days a year.

You are used to work in a multicultural environment and across borders and time zones. You have personal strengths supported by great analytical skills and business understanding. You are able to manage and motivate a broad range of stakeholders by communicating your visions and acting as a sparring partner based on excellent networking skills.

As a person you are open-minded and analytical, you have a talent for spotting improvement opportunities in processes and translate these into specific projects. You are a strong relation builder and communicator.
You possess personal power and integrity. You have strong communication skills including proficiency in written and spoken English.
