Senior Research Technician, Chemical Development

Would you like to join us in a challenging position as Senior Research Technician within Chemical Development?
Chemical Development is a department located at Ferring International PharmaScience Center in Copenhagen, and is part of Global Pharmaceutical R&D. We are a team of 7 skilled organic chemists with experience in development of peptides and small molecules. The department is expanding and we are looking for a Senior Research Technician.
Your work will be in the laboratory with hands-on synthesis and analytical tasks within a multicultural team and in close collaboration with the scientists. The essential responsibilities include:
- Working in highly motivated project teams in close collaboration with the scientists
- Execute experiments, monitoring reactions, and analyse products
- Arrange, evaluate and present results for the scientists and in the project teams
- Introduce and maintain scientific and technical knowledge in defined fields
- Responsible for keeping laboratories maintained, and that work is done according to safety and quality regulations
- Responsible for defined instruments/equipment
- You are expected to contribute to the ways of working and you have great influence on own responsibilities.
The ideal candidate has an education as laboratory technician (Laborant) or equivalent with at least 5 years´ hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry working on API process development; you will have an extensive knowledge in synthetic organic chemistry, and preferably having experience in the field of peptides synthesis. You’re expected to be comfortable to share new ideas and have a positive and flexible mind-set towards changes.
The candidate must be an innovative, flexible, decisive, problem solver with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a quality-minded and structured way. In addition, you should have a proactive working style with good interpersonal skills. Finally the candidate is an experienced user of IT (including MS Office) and is keen on working in a multicultural corporate environment. Good verbal/written communication skills in English are essential.
