About the department
Obesity Medical & Science is medically responsible for clinical development programmes within the Obesity area. This includes medical and scientific support to health authority interactions and the planning and execution of trials. The department is part of Global Development in Søborg, and our work is done in close collaboration with many other skill areas, each contributing with their high level of expertise.
Our team is expanding, and we are currently eight medical doctors with many different backgrounds who take pride in developing new and better treatments for people with obesity.
As a Medical Specialist, you will take on a broad role where focus and daily tasks vary to a great extent, depending on the life cycle stage of the project. Your job will include being instrumental in providing medical and scientific support to the interpretation and documentation of clinical data leading to New Drug Applications (NDAs) and variation applications as well as periodic safety updates on marketed drugs and drugs in clinical development.
We expect you to take a leading role on tasks which include development of strategies for studies to demonstrate efficacy and safety, designing of protocols in collaboration with project teams and international external experts and taking part in investigator, result and authority meetings presenting studies and data. In addition to this, you will write reports and clinical reviews. Naturally, you will also keep yourself updated on medical literature and participate in congresses.
You will collaborate closely with many colleagues across the Novo Nordisk organisation and across skill areas. The job is globally oriented and will require strong interaction with highly skilled colleagues and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, prescribing physicians and therapeutic experts.
We are looking for candidates with experience from executing clinical trials and/or interaction with health authorities. You must hold a university degree as a Medical Doctor. Moreover, you must have passed post-graduate internship followed by 2-5 years of clinical practice and/or a Ph.D. We strongly prefer that you have documented research experience, preferably from a Ph.D. within an area related to our research.
