Country Sales & Marketing Manager

Loxam Danmark has over 220 employees in 25 departments, and is a dominant supplier in Denmark of rented equipment for construction. Loxam also has specialized units for lifts and pavillons. Loxam therefore has the tightest branch network in the country and has since its acquisition of DNE Materieludlejning and JJ Maskinudlejning in 2007 gradually increased its range of products through acquisitions and organic growth.

To strengthen the top management team a Country Sales & Marketing Manager, who can take responsibility for the overall sales and marketing efforts and personally manage the top 20 clients as well as be a responsible and proactive part of the Danish leadership is needed.

Mission & main objectives:

The Sales & Marketing Manager is in charge of sales and marketing activities in the country.  You will be responsible for the Group’s Marketing & Sales Strategy implementation and for the achievement of main objectives. As part of the role, you define the commercial plan to achieve sales targets, coaches the sales executives, manages price policy and rolls out the marketing strategy. The manager reports to the country managing director, with a dotted line to the Sales & Marketing Group director.

Duties of the Sales Manager:

Sales activities

The Sales & Marketing Manager

  • defines Commercial Action Plan in relation with country managing Director’s guidelines and Group Policy
  • makes sure the sales team updates the CRM effectively with all appropriate data
  • follows  sales’ KPIs and makes sure they are on track
  • directly manages the top 20 customers and is responsible for the growth of business with them
  • follows the activity on main regional customer (commercial terms and business growth)
  • trains the sales team and branch managers on sales techniques and coaches underperforming members
  • provides support to operations (branch managers) to help them manage the retail trade
  • manages the customer call center (“Loxcall”) for nation-wide customers
  • organizes and attends customer events

Price Management

The Sales & Marketing manager

  • specifies Pricing Policy in relation with country managing Director’s guidelines and Group Policy
  • benchmarks competitors’ pricing
  • monitors price evolution and makes recommendations to the Country manager and the branches
  • validates all specific/derogated pricing agreements

Marketing Activities

The Sales & Marketing Manager

  • defines a yearly marketing plan in relation with country managing Director’s guidelines and Group Policy
  • oversees all marketing activity (website communication, catalogue and brochures, give-away, exhibitions/conferences, sales materials) and ensures it fits with the marketing strategy
  • defines marketing campaigns via the CRM & Marketing automation tool
  • arranges for the company to attend relevant industry events and conferences
  • follows market and competitive environment
  • identifies and reports relevant information that may improve Loxam’s sales and marketing plan’s efficiency achieving a high level of our customer service

Customer satisfaction & Service Quality

The Sales & Marketing Manager

  • reports relevant information that may improve service proposition thus achieving a higher level of customer service
  • is the guardian of Loxam’s good image, and monitors sales executives’ behaviors
  • contributes to the quality action plan
  • puts in place the adequate action plan if any issue / gap occurs

Health & Safety

  • Should any Health & Safety risk be identified, you would immediately take action

Background of the Sales and Marketing Manager:

  • All round sales and marketing experience gained from a similar network based organization
  • Excellent motivational and Leadership skills to inspire performance
  • Relevant industry experience (B2B services or construction business)
  • Highly motivated with a genuine drive to succeed
