Join the fast-paced, high energy Pathology team in Agilent's Diagnostics and Genomics Group. The market for Agilent's Pathology solutions continue to enjoy significant growth through the invention, development and launch of high value products associated with technologies such as Immuno-Histo Chemistry (IHC), Special Staining, Primary Staining and Companion Diagnostics (CDX). Agilent is at the forefront of innovation in cancer diagnostic with the recently launched companion diagnostic PD-L1 kit, enabling novel first and second lines immunotherapies for the most aggressive cancer forms.

In this role as PD-L1 Business Development, you will be responsible for driving sales of Agilent Technologies' line of high performance most advanced companion diagnostic technology within this territory. As an integral member of the field sales team you will use your excellent technical sales track record to focus on acquiring new customers while retaining and growing the existing installed base of customers. As the Product Specialist, you will be expected to develop and implement successful strategies and tactics to sell complex solutions within this competitive marketplace, either directly or thru. a network of distributors.

Another key accountability of this role is internal coordination within Agilent (in particular, with Logistics, RA/QA departments…), as well as with our Pharmaceutical partners. Here, you will secure and enhance market access of the PD-L1 companion diagnostic offering in perfect synchronization with treatment availability for each country of your responsibility by addressing any marketing issues that could arise. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving sales of high performance PD-L1 products and services in a defined territory
  • Conduct presentations and product usage demos with and without Field Applications Scientist (FAS) assistance
  • Contribute to developing effective strategies and tactics that will enable Agilent to gain market share in the Territory
  • Focus on strategic product applications and solutions in strategic accounts 
  • Provide constructive feedback from customers into Agilent to help guide continual development of products that more effectively address customers' needs
  • Participate and be an active member in regional discussion groups and forums
  • Understand Pathology labs and cancer diagnostic markets
  • Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships
  • Represent Agilent to the customer AND the customer to the company
  • Enhance internal coordination within Agilent (in particular, with Logistics, RA/QA departments…), as well as with our Pharmaceutical partners
  • Secure market access of the PD-L1 companion diagnostic offering in synchronization with treatment availability for each country of your responsibility
  • Take care of any escalation in terms of product registration, product availability for your countries of reponsibilty 


  • Understand Pathology labs and cancer diagnostic markets
  • Industry/Application expertise. Working knowledge of competitive products (specifications, value propositions, price points)
  • Minimum BSc/MSc in a Life Sciences discipline, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
  • Solid self-management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • 5+ years related direct sales experience with a demonstrated track record of successfully selling against a quota
  • Technical knowledge and domain knowledge in the cancer diagnostic sector. Knowledge of the clinical research marketplace
  • High level of experience tissue based testing Pathology workflows
