Your new company
Boels Rental belongs to the top of the European equipment Rental market. The headquarters and Shared Service Center are based in The Netherlands. The company includes more than 3000 employees across 15 European countries. In 2015, Boels Rental took over the Danish company Toolmatic and is now looking to strengthen the team in the Do-It-Yourself division with a qualified Operations Manager for the Nordics. The Danish office is located in Køge.
Your new role
The Operations Manager is in charge of leading the operations in the Nordics and support the team of 18 employees situated across Denmark and Norway. With direct reference to the Business Manager in the Netherlands, the Operations Manager is the liaison between business operations and technical operations in the Nordics. One will hence be in charge of logistics, technical maintenance and services.
Furthermore, one will become the link between the Nordic operations and headquarters in the Netherlands. In addition, one should act as a strategic partner who will continue to drive the success of the company with great passion and ambition, while keeping track of events and being able to reinforce the objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this position, several years of managerial experience is required, preferably in a similar position within the Do-it-Yourself or rental sector. Moreover, one is expected to work in a reliable and professional way to be able to manage and grow the operations. Assertiveness and a strong character at a professional level in negotiations is equally important in this role, while conveying the values of the company.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to be operational and supportive, while proving strong decision-making and people management skills. In addition, an excellent grasp of German or English is a prerequisite for this role and one should be willing and able to travel in the Nordics as well as occasionally to the Netherlands.
