Our client is a leading provider of one-stop solutions for the installation and service of wind turbines throughout the world. The owners are a well consolidated and highly wind-experienced group of industrial investors, and the company has approx. 1.000 employees with subsidiaries and offices worldwide. Our client is now looking for a Category Manager to be based at either the headquarter located in Central Jutland, Hamburg area or Northern part of Poland.
You develop and implement best practices
Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain Management you will have a unique role in securing a strong mindset of comprehensive SCM in the organization and driving profitable long-term growth with our customers. You will be responsible for developing and executing global category strategies within heavy cranes.
You will proactively engage with relevant stakeholders to secure an aligned end efficient decision and sourcing process. As Category Manager, you develop and manage relationships for defined suppliers and identify and verify capabilities of new suppliers. Moreover, you prepare, develop and implement supplier frame agreements in close coordination with your colleagues.
Other key responsibilities:
- Develop cost models, identify saving opportunities and improvements (TCO)
- Develop and implement the Category strategy roadmap + KPI
- Develop global benchmarking and best practice sharing to all relevant internal stakeholders
- Risk management for various projects
You continuously create results and innovative solutions
It is important that you take leadership naturally and have high professional ambitions. Independently, you recognize, develop and implement effective means to various challenges, also when you work under pressure and tight deadlines. You are good at planning your tasks, maintain focus, and know how to handle conflicting priorities.
You are fluent in English, communicate and sell your ideas effectively and have the ability to work with multicultural stakeholders. You are a skilled negotiator and you are confident in managing a sourcing process.
You have a strong technical knowledge and a minimum of 5 years of experience within heavy cranes. Experience from the wind industry is an advantage. Estimated travel days are expected to be 80-100 mostly within the region and occasionally overseas.
