Lead Advisor M&A

Do you want to work with M&A in a global environment? Then you could be our new M&A Lead Advisor. At Danfoss headquarters, we seek an experienced staff member for a position at director’s level in the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) department. Together with a team of dynamic colleagues, you will be involved in M&A advisory and project management/coordination in connection with acquisitions, divestments and related activities within the entire Danfoss Group.

Project leadership, target analysis and recommendation

Your focal point will be to support, facilitate and coordinate the M&A transaction process in collaboration with the acquiring or selling business Segment. This is a position with broad contact at management level throughout the entire Danfoss organization as well as to external companies and advisors/consultancies and it is important that you through this role actively contribute to a continuous professional level in the Danfoss M&A processes.

Your key tasks are:

  • Prepare and review acquisition/divestment recommendation papers for the Danfoss Group Executive Team
  • Manage the M&A process including ensuring coordination throughout the organization, from preparation of letter of intent, via due diligence, to negotiations of contract and planning of integration/carve-out/merger
  • Conduct ad-hoc support in M&A related tasks, i.e. internal entity transfers, restructure, portfolio management etc.
  • Support on strategic M&A intelligence analysis, i.e. M&A strategic theme determination, industry related M&A activity, M&A Road Map candidate evaluation etc.
  • Support on M&A business case preparation including synergy assessment

Evaluate and suggest improvements of the internal M&A process

Your clients will be the Group Executive Team, the Danfoss Business Segments and Divisions and their companies, world-wide, and you are guaranteed professional challenges in a highly international business environment. Therefore, you must anticipate approx. 20-30 travel days per year.

International M&A track record plus high level of financial and strategic analytical skills

You have a solid theoretical foundation (M.Sc.) in finance and/or business administration and minimum 5 years’ experience from an international working environment, i.e. internationally reputed M&A company, corporate M&A department, global business development or private equity. You have strong financial and strategic analytical skills and your track record demonstrates professional experience from areas like financial due diligence, valuation, business modelling, sell-and-buy side advisory or strategic business development. Running strategic processes and working with project management is a natural matter of course for you as well as keeping deadlines. On a more personal level you are an energetic self-motivator who has a unique ability to sustain and build up relevant competencies at a professional level. Finally, you are able to write and communicate fluently in English.

The position is based from the Danfoss headquarter in Nordborg. However, a certain flexibility is possible towards having part time office seat at a Danfoss location within 2h drive from the Danfoss headquarter.
