Your new role
On behalf of our client, UCB, Hays is offering a unique role as National Key Account Manager within the
therapeutic area of immunology. The role can be characterized as a hybrid between a Medical Science
Liaison and a Key Account Manager, as you will act as a scientific discussion partner at intermediate
level to health care professionals and to your local team. We are looking for the right candidate who will
be able to identify and analyze medical, scientific and therapeutic area opportunities and problems, and
make proposals for improvements while driving the overall sales strategy at UCB in Denmark. With
direct reference to the Scandinavian Country Lead, you will be joining a truly professional local team
consisting of a Country Medical Science Liaison Rheumatology, a Scandinavian Medical Science
Liaison Dermatology, a Country Market Access Manager and a Scandinavian Solutions Lead
implementing medical, market access and marketing projects in Denmark. In this role, you will need to
demonstrate a desire to succeed, combining a scientific curiosity with excellent business skills to identify
customer needs and apply these insights in the real world.
What you’ll need to succeed
The preferred candidate possesses an advanced degree in healthcare, life sciences or business. You
possess a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry, holding valuable
knowledge and a proven track record within sales. You are accustomed to interact with KOL´s on a high
scientific level and you can act as a professional discussion partner within one of UCB´s core business
areas. Your combined sales and scientific approach ensures that you are able to act as a subject area
expert and create awareness of patient journeys, unmet needs and therapeutic area-related topics. You
have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; a natural talent in catching and
capturing your audience. Disease area knowledge in immunology, rheumatology and dermatology will
serve advantageous in our selection for the role, but is not crucial. Fluency in Danish and English is a
must. On a personal level, you are an outgoing and distinct team player. You possess a sturdy and
mature mind-set and thrive in a science-driven, independent and ambitious environment.
