Your new role

The objective of the position is in general to secure that the ROCKWOOL Group is perceived as being the thought leader within Fire Resilience, and to secure that the ROCKWOOL Group contributes to the development of regulatory requirements for fire safety.

As part of Group Marketing and Communications, the Public Affairs Manager will contribute to the development of future directives, laws, fire regulations, insurance rules as well as standards within fire safety, and will on a yearly basis propose target and strategy for this work. Furthermore, one of the key responsibilities will be to build up and maintain a network of thought leaders within fire safety and key stakeholders having impact on future requirements within the fire safety area. The Public Affairs Manager will also assist in the development of better national fire requirements in cooperation with regional business units, where relevant.

You will be located in the company headquarter in Hedehusene, Denmark, or near your main stakeholders in Brussels, Belgium, and you will be working with a team consisting of four dedicated team members focused on Energy efficiency, Health, Stakeholder Management and Fire safety.

What you’ll need to succeed

Experience with Public Affairs or equivalent is a must, as the position requires a person with excellent communication, presentation and networking skills. A diploma or degree from an accredited educational institution in Engineering Technology (Fire Safety Engineering is preferred) is evident to possess in order to have the technical expert knowledge within Fire Safety and/or performance of constructions containing insulation products. The successful candidate is able to “translate” specialized knowledge to meaningful content for stakeholders with various backgrounds. Furthermore, fluency in English, positive energy and a good pro-active attitude and the ability to work in a high paced environment are preferred.
