Senior Automation Designer – Software
 
to join the team of Automation Design Department, located in Aarhus, Denmark.

 As member of a competent and innovative team of 16 colleagues who have responsibility for the development and design of automation solutions for production equipment in the ice cream industry, the Automation Designer’s responsibilities amongst many will be:

  • Design, development and implementation of new software solutions for production equipment
  • Optimization and maintenance of existing software solutions
  • Preparation of proposals for technical documentation and cost calculations
  • Validating and commissioning software solutions; testing of machines, troubleshooting in-house or on-site at customers - travelling time estimated as 20-40 days/year
  • Broad contact within the Danish organization through projects and technical/commercial support
  • Regular contact with colleagues from Tetra Pak's global market companies and our customers worldwide.

Professional:

  • Trained engineer with knowledge of electrical, automation and/or control engineering: candidates with diploma and technical secondary education are both invited to apply!
  • 8+ years of experience in the development and design of modular automation solutions for machinery in the food processing industry is highly preferred
  • Extensive working experience on PLC platforms such as Siemens S7, TIA Portal and/or Allen Bradley
  • Solid knowledge of the Machinery Directive, functional safety, motion, mechatronics, network topology and IT flair to be essential pre-requisites
  • Strong MS Office literacy is required
  • Being up-to-date with the latest trends in industrial automation
  • Knowledge of MES and databases.
  • Knowledge of and interest in IoT 4.0

Essential interpersonal & other skills:

  • Proficiency in Danish AND English language is required; German is an advantage
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of responsibility for a certain product portfolio 
  • Strong communication skills – ability to interact with people, be it stakeholders or customers
  • Being committed and passionate about work, confidence to express your opinion – also regarding mechanics, pneumatics and process techniques
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while recognizing the value of good cooperation
  • Creative, positive and flexible personality, thrive in a professional but informal environment
  • Analytical, systematic and structured way of thinking
  • Willingness to travel
