Working with GDPR - also on a global scale
Your overall focus is to manage Chr. Hansen’s personal data protection program and to advice important stakeholders in the organization on personal data protection regulation. You will do so by acting as a sparring partner to the business and by supporting the GDPR Program Manager. Furthermore you will work on processes, controls and you will be part of establishing a GDPR compliance organization within Chr. Hansen - always with a solution oriented attitude that balances compliance and business needs. Your tasks will be to:
- Ensure that local filings/notifications of systems and data processing are maintained and any required authorizations
- On-going monitoring of personal data regulation compliance
- First point of contact internally and externally for authorities and data subjects in regard to personal data
- On-going advice on data protection regulation to the Chr. Hansen business
- Management of training and awareness in regard to personal data
- Actively drive privacy risk management and improvements in Chr. Hansen
In this role you will be interacting across the entire Chr. Hansen organization, cooperating with internal and external stakeholders. You will be based at the Danish headquarters in Hørsholm, Greater Copenhagen and report to the Head of Corporate Legal and EMEA.
Legal background and personal data regulation experience
You have a Master of Laws or a cand.merc.jur. or similar. This is backed by experience in data protection regulation and preferably GDPR as well as an understanding of data vendor management. It is crucial that you have strong business acumen and are familiar with risk management. Furthermore it is important that you understand the value of knowledge sharing.
As you will be working cross-organisationally you will need all of your ability to collaborate and create sustainable relationships – across cultural, professional and geographical borders. This takes very good communication skills in English, written and spoken. As such, you are a people influencer and you can transmit your personal enthusiasm to people around you, ensuring that goals are met according to plans and deadlines.

The Legal Affairs department is part of the broader Compliance function, which includes Global Regulatory & External Affairs, Quality Assurance, IPR & Licensing, the Corporate Secretariat.
