Key Account Manager

Independent position for a sales person with a background within building materials or timber industries.

Attractive position with focus on sales and customer relations in an already established customer network. On behalf of UPM Biocomposites, Hays Denmark is searching for an independent sales person with a background in building materials or timber industries. The person will contribute to the further growth of the company by having responsibility for maintaining the company’s leading position in the market by generating sales.

Your new company

UPM is an international organization which leads the integration of bio and forest industries into a new, sustainable and innovation-driven future. The organization consists of 6 different business areas, and you will join UPM Biocomposites which combines cellulose fibers and polymers into new high performance products and materials. This business unit consists of UPM ProFi outdoor products for construction and UPM Formi granulates for injection molding and extrusion. The PEFC certified UPM ProFi ranges of composite exterior products which are recyclable and offer superior technical performance when compared to traditional WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) products.

Your new role

Your primary area of responsibility will be to engage with customers in Denmark, to establish and maintain productive customer relations. You will be responsible for supporting existing customers and train certified installers while presenting company products and generating sales by approaching potential customers. You will refer directly to the International Sales Manager and together you will align objectives and sales targets. 
What you’ll need to succeed

You are an open-minded person with experience in sales. You have excellent networking skills as you must be able to engage in B2B relations, create productive relations with customers and have flair for aligning your activities according to company targets. You must be a driven sales person, who is skilled at handling product presentations, hard negotiations and possess the ability to handle multiple customers simultaneously. 
The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of the building materials industry and is able to establish a sales strategy on basis of financial figures. Most importantly, you must possess a strong self-discipline as you will work from home and visit customers by car.
