Your new role

You will be responsible for leading the Business Technology Solution function within the affiliate and help increase the value AbbVie can realize from the commercial technologies. You are expected to participate in the planning and choosing of the direction of the implementations alongside teams in your affiliate. You shall in addition implement strategies to assist the affiliate in achieving its business goals and play a fully integrated role in the strategic and tactical planning. You will be a subject matter expert within digital initiatives and a high-quality technical advisor towards the business. Interaction with stakeholders at all layers in an organization, as well as collaborating with third-parties will be parts of your daily tasks. Furthermore, you will be responsible for compliance of technology solutions, as well as having some oversight for the delivery of infrastructure services.

What you’ll need to succeed

Ideally, you will thrive with being recognised as a go-to person and excel with your natural flair for digital solutions. You are highly motivated to create value from the digital projects and takes ownership of the compliance and control within your field. An understanding of a full cycle of software development process is highly preferred and it would be ideal to bring experience with managing digital projects from the inception. It is desirable to have competences within the areas of SEO, SEM, social media, web design or UX, and to have an understanding of creating digital strategies. It is a prerequisite that you hold experience with stakeholder management at organisational all layers and it would be an advantage to have experience from managing external service providers.
Strong independent decision-making, planning and problem-solving skills are some of the soft-skills you will need to succeed in the role. In addition, you will need to be able to influence and lead without direct authority.
