Since 2007 Thornton Tomasetti Ltd have been on a great journey and are now ready to expand their business to Scandinavia. Therefore, Thornton Tomasetti Ltd are looking for a passionate Associate Director with an Architect or Structural Design background.

This vacant position will give you the opportunity to have a deep impact in Thornton Tomasetti Ltd growth strategy and a chance to build up your own business, hence to ensure the strategic planning and development in Denmark including staff management to future employees.

As the new Associate Director for the Copenhagen office, your main responsibilities are:

  • To build up and manage Thornton Tomasetti A/S
  • To acquire new clients, develop existing and new lines of business and secure delivery to all clients
  • To ensure shareholder value,
  • To meet all statutory and legal obligations for Thornton Tomasetti A/S
  • To engage in developing positive relations to internal stakeholders and to maximize the potential of the firm in Scandinavia

Experienced from building industry

You hold a relevant technical education, but it is key that you have worked with Structural Design, Architecture or similar. We imagine that you have a min. of 10 years of experience from a relevant senior position. You possess great entrepreneurship skills paired with a commercial approach and longstanding connections within the Danish and International consulting environment.  It is important that you have work experience from the building industry and know the industry’s fast pace, culture and specific demands. It is a plus if you have knowledge about handling a diverse group of stakeholders and have developed a broad professional network.

As a person you are outgoing, structured with a strong sense of urgency. You have a desire of doing things better and challenge status quo. You are positive and robust, smart and hard working. You know how to communicate and manage a diverse group of stakeholders. And you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and informal culture, where a good sense of humor is appreciated and valued.
