Compliance Officer, Asset Management Compliance/Compliance Monitoring
Group Compliance is responsible for supporting the Nordea Group in managing compliance risk and reports directly to the CEO.
As a Compliance Officer you will get a unique opportunity to work across an international asset manager’s value chain and to get in-depth knowledge of the compliance issues related to an expanding international business. You will be responsible for supporting Asset Management to conduct its business in compliance with relevant regulation, policies and procedures.
The position we offer
You will provide the business with advice on compliance in relation to new products, processes, regulatory change and day-today issues within the Asset Management business are-as. A key focus area will be to develop, implement and execute monitoring activities of procedures and processes within the relevant business areas.
A key challenge for asset managers is rapidly increasing EU regulation. You will be responsible for impact analysis of new regulation and assist the busness in the implementation.
The position aims at ensuring an efficient compliance culture, which is done by supporting the business and proactively interacting with stakeholders throughout the value chain. Asset Management Compliance helps to protect the business by ensuring that the organisation understands the tsunami of new regulation of the financial markets, properly implements and observes relevant regulation and that relevant risks and considerations are addressed in product development and daily business operations.
The qualifications you need
You have a relevant Master’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. You have a keen interest in the regulation of financial markets, and have knowledge of EU and international regulation.
Further to this, you:
- Are a person with drive who takes initiatives and is willing to go the extra mile
- Are analytical and take a well-structured approach to the tasks at hand
- Execute and have a well - developed sense of prioritis-ing new challenges
- Adapt quickly to changes and take responsibility for developing your own skills
- Have good communication abilities and interpersonal skills
- Are fluent in both spoken and written English, and you are likely a native speaker of any of the Nordic languages.
Experience with EU internal markets, UCITS and MiFID Directives and similar will be an advantage.
