Sales Engineer

Join Scantago as we expand our Scandinavian customer base. In this role, you will apply your knowledge within cleaning and cleaning validation, cleaning and disinfection of clean room and various sterilization processes by working with our Process and Research Cleaners, Microbial Control and Sterility Assurance Products to strengthen our sales in the Nordic region.

At Scantago, we work with sales and after-sales service of process equipment to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries including production, laboratories and research facilities. We are the official distribution partner for STERIS Formulated Chemistries collaborating closely with STERIS, and our goal is to be the preferred partner within our field in Scandinavia.

Be a trusted advisor and help grow our customer base

In the role of Sales Engineer, you will combine your strong technical background with customer-focused consultancy and sales. Your main responsibility will be to grow our Scandinavian customer base. Doing so, you build relationships with partners and customers within Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Through technical consultancy, you ensure sales with existing as well as new customers. Part of your time will also be spent at conferences, industrial fairs and trade shows, where interact with and meet new potential customers. In addition, you will:

  • develop sales strategies in collaboration with our supplier in both the US and the UK
  • identify key decision-makers and initiate contact
  • visit potential customers to encourage and maintain our rapid growth trajectory sales
  • facilitate testing and evaluation of tests
  • instruct users in the use of our products.

You will enter a company with a healthy growth rate and will become a representative for high-performance products. At our offices near Roskilde, Denmark, you will join 20 experienced colleagues, including product specialists, tech services and our sales manager for capital equipment. We enjoy an informal working environment, which allows you to shape and influence your own role as well as our shared ambitions for the future.

Most of your time will be spent communicating with customers, and you can expect to travel 8-12 days a month within Scandinavia to develop and maintain a close relationship with key accounts and influencers across your field.

You have an engineering background and an interest in sales

With your outgoing and knowledgeable presence, you quickly become a trusted and respected partner for our vendors as well as our customers. You have an open and honest communication style that allows you to communicate in a way that encourages sales – without necessarily relying on years of sales experience (if necessary, we will ensure that you are fully up to speed on current sales methodologies).

Moreover:

  • You have a background as engineer or technician – preferably from pharma or biotech.
  • You have experience with or knowledge of qualification and validation of e.g. cleaning processes and sterilization processes.
  • You have a strong understanding of good manufacturing processes and documentation.
  • You speak and write English as well as one (or more) of the Scandinavian languages.
  • You are most likely based in the Zealand area or southern Sweden.
