NAM solutions cover all asset classes from fixed income and equity to multi asset solutions, and manage local and European as well as US, global and emerging market products. Emerging Markets Debt is one of the NAM boutiques.

We are a team of 11 investment professionals including Portfolio Managers and Analysts. We are performance responsible for the management of Global, Euro and Emerging Markets Fixed Income and FX investment funds. Our growth ambition rests in further strengthening our Emerging Markets Debt offering.  

You will work closely with the Lead Portfolio Manager and manage Emerging Market Debt Local Bond portfolios/strategies. The tasks will include developing and improving the quantitative models used for alpha generation, forming highly automated strategies based on these models, as well as executing bond trades to realise the strategies. Preferably, you are also able to take over fundamental coverage of the Asian region.  

Additionally, when required you will take full responsibility of the portfolios when other team members are away.  

You are highly analytical, thorough, creative and a responsible team player with a strong drive.  

The role is based in Copenhagen.

You have strong communication and presentation skills in English, the ability to defend your work and research results, outstanding analytical competencies and are capable to build up scenarios and to demonstrate their validity.  

Your background:  

  • 3+ years’ experience in portfolio management, preferably within EMD Local Bonds & FX  
  • Applicants should have at least a Master's degree in finance, mathematics, statistics or  
  • Economics, with advanced skills in programming. A PhD degree would be viewed favourably  
  • Expertise in alpha research, portfolio construction, optimization, risk management, trade execution and Portfolio Management  
  • Knowledge of programming and systematic trading strategies is essential, preferably within Emerging Markets Debt  
  • Knowledge of ESG integration in investment process desirable
