What you will be doing
At our site in Lyngby, we are offering a challenging position in a dynamic and ambitious work environment. The Sales Manager is the local representative for our corrugated catalyst portfolio. The position covers direct responsibility for selected HDD On- and Nonroad customers and manages European business development activities. Providing general support for activities in the Scandinavian region and working closely with our catalyst production in Frederikssund are additional facets for the Sales Manager as member of our global Heavy Duty Diesel team.
The function ensures customer satisfaction is met while Automotive Catalysts's desired strategic and financial results is achieved. You will meet the customer specific goals to position Umicore as a leading supplier in the global catalyst business.
- Manage all commercial and operational aspects of the customer
- Negotiate contracts / satisfactory business agreements with customers
- Working closely with Product Management on introduction of new technologies
- Working closely with Production, Customer Service and Logistics
- Manage relationships with relevant canners and supply chain partners
- Ensure customer satisfaction and monitor market dynamics, technical changes, trends and competitive environment at the given customers (market analysis)
- Seeking for new opportunities and customers in Europe
- Communicate customer requirements to relevant parts of the Umicore organization and participate as a member of the European HDD team
Who we are looking for
Ideally, you hold a master’s degree within a technical area and have 10 years industry experience with an internationally operating automotive company, preferred in the Diesel catalyst technology and / or emissions systems sector. It will be an advantage if you have first leadership experiences in Sales & Marketing, finance, product development, R&D, manufacturing or supply chain management. You have excellent communication skills with internal and external customers, especially in an intercultural environment. It is expected that you master Danish or Swedish and English at a professional level, both written and spoken. German language skills would be appreciated but are not a must. Availability for travel need to be given.
