Your new role
As Senior Software Developer, you are joining LEGO Education in the process of delivering playful learning experiences, that bring subjects to life in a classroom, and make learning fun and impactful. You will act as technical lead, with the responsibility to enable the delivery of new digital experiences, and be a key stakeholder in developing the next LEGO education applications.
You will be responsible for ensuring the momentum of development, while ensuring that the code is testable and maintainable. You will take part in the development of all technology layers, from Bluetooth communication, to front-end development, and be responsible for utilizing the right technology, and the right architecture. With a holistic approach to the technical strategy moving forward, you will be an essential part of combining a fantastic software experience, with a fantastic physical play-and learning experience.
As a technical lead, you will work closely with the Architects for the LEGO application platform and technical area, securing that the functionality and the design is performed accordingly to technical Best Practice, and LEGO business requirements. You will be expected to help lead the projects, with high quality code, test-driven development, consistently delivering with a “get it done” attitude.
What you’ll need to succeed
With a proven track record, within front-end development, you hold experience with iOS/Android development and React JS, as well as Redux. Additionally, you feel confident developing Single Page Applications. Ideally, you are intrigued by Typescript, with a motivation to further enhance your capabilities.
You bring a result orientated mindset to the team. On top of this, you bring good prioritizing skills, and ability to identify improvements within own areas. To be successful in this role, you should be innovative of character, and very knowledgeable as an application developer.
