Student Assistant, Communications
The Communications team is looking for a loyal, ambitious, and team-oriented Student Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience within an international shipping company and to compare theory with practice.
As part of TORM’s Communications team, you will be in close contact with our shore-based organization in Hellerup, Houston, London, Manila, Mumbai and Singapore as well as with the seafarers on board TORM’s vessels. The Communications team is a part of Group Investor Relations, Communication & Treasury.
As Student Assistant, you will be the main writer of articles and news for TORM’s internal newsletter, the Shipmate, which is distributed monthly to all employees across the organization. You will also be in charge of the editorial process including layout, editing, approval and distribution. You will gain access to a broad network across the organization in order to get input for stories.
Furthermore, your main responsibilities will include:
- Produce, edit, and publish articles for TORM’s internal newsletter and intranet
- Draft and edit posts for TORM’s social media
- Assist with CSR activities and reporting
- Process images for the intranet
- Other ad hoc tasks within the department
You are currently studying journalism or communications at BSc or MSc level with more than one year left. Your writing and editing skills are second to none and you are fluent in English. If you also have flair for social media, photo and website editing that would be an advantage.
Furthermore, you are:
- Highly driven and full of initiative
- Outgoing and good at building working relationships
- Able to keep deadlines
- Flexible and able to work independently
- Familiar working with the MS Office package, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign
From TORM’s office in Hellerup, you will be working 15 – 20 hours a week and naturally, we are flexible during exam periods.
