About the department
You will join a team of dedicated and highly competent colleagues and be at the crossroad between Device Research & Development (R&D) and production. The department supports the entire range of Novo Nordisk device products and the technical product knowledge is anchored here.
The department is responsible for the design of the secondary packaging material for our marketed products and we own the specifications and documentation for the design.
You will be joining the Design Engineering team, which is covering various mechanical engineering disciplines, supporting numerous projects.
As Secondary Packaging Engineer for Product Maintenance, your overall objective is to maintain the design of our secondary packaging material and secure manufacturability both from print shop and packaging line and at the same time meet the product requirements, to ensure that patients can rely on our products.
While focusing on patient safety, quality and manufacturability, you will be conducting updates to specifications for the secondary packaging material in our portfolio. You will be implementing various business and safety related design changes, such as implementing tamper evidence solutions and changing materials for cartons, paper and labels, in alignment with updated regulatory requirements. You will take part in various productivity optimisations to the packaging material and finally see the results implemented in the products.

You hold a technical scientific degree at minimum bachelor’s level. You have some work experience with packaging materials in a similar job, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry. You are experienced with CAD modelling, highly skilled with MS Office and find it easy to master new IT systems.
Furthermore you are known for a systematic and structured way of working, which enables you to manoeuver solutions securely through a landscape of many stakeholders.
You proactively take action and ownership for your work and welcome new challenges. You pay attention to details and quality in your work without over processing.
Additionally, your language proficiency in both written and spoken English is at a professional level.
