Group Finance Business Analyst
Are you looking for a challenging role within Finance and Performance Management? Do you enjoy analysing complex data and turning the results into meaningful advice - and would you like to make your mark on our global growth journey, by providing Management with such qualitative and challenging decision-making material. Then the role as group finance business analyst might be just the right career move for you.
Taking up this key role in our highly results-driven organisation, you will work alongside ambitious and talented colleagues who values good collaboration and great results.
As our group finance business analyst, you will join us at our head office in Hørsholm and be part of a global team whose prime target is to increase VELUX® performance through analysis, reporting and business partnering.
Reporting directly to the VP of Finance and Performance Management, you will be responsible for providing top management with reporting and decision-making information. A focus area in the position will be to work closely with business units, gaining in-depth understanding of their strategies and processes as well as the context in which they operate. Your role will be key to understanding our value chain and our performance model and to documenting and addressing performance development and challenges.
“In this job, you will work with a global view on finance and performance management across the entire VELUX Group. We strive to link strategy to plans for all functional areas of the business and to execute through target-setting, forecasting and reporting,” says Vice President Ulrich Gammelgaard.
In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will gather insights and analyse broader sources of data to secure a highly data-driven foundation for strategic decisions. Specifically, you:
- Create monthly management information for top management and our board of directors
- Monitor and analyse the performance of the VELUX business, including external and internal events which impact performance, and ensure that relevant information is reported to top management
- Coordinate processes for financial planning, spanning target setting, rolling forecasting and continuous follow-ups, linking to strategic planning processes etc.
- Develop processes, procedures, methods and systems to be used for planning, analysing and reporting in the VELUX Group
We are looking for a fiercely analytical and ambitious colleague who is thorough and quality-conscious. At the same time, with your highly persistent nature and sense of urgency, you never miss a deadline.
You are comfortable presenting for others. Similarly, stakeholder management comes naturally to you, and you know how to collaborate with many nationalities and cultures. Moreover, you:
- Hold a relevant master’s degree in economics or finance with excellent results
- Have 3+ years of experience from a similar job, e.g. as an analyst or business controller at a major global company or consultancy
- Have a thorough understanding of financial management and the relations between finance, strategy and performance management
- Have strong English communication skills – particularly in writing
As the VELUX Group develops, so will your tasks. Working across many business entities and functions, you will get a chance to sharpen your analytical skills and form strong collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders from various parts of the business.
To us, collaboration is key, and we encourage local initiatives. This means that you will have contact with a wide range of key stakeholders and gain exposure across our organisation. As you build strong business relationships and business acumen, you will become a key player in supporting our growth strategy.
“We want to be frontrunners within our field of expertise and to support management in the best way possible. Therefore, I expect employees to be ambitious, creative and self-propelled when handling tasks,” says Ulrich Gammelgaard.
