Dedicated Accountant to a World-Class Shipping Company

The open position is in General Accounting, a part of Group Finance. The Danish section of Group Finance is comprised of 17 employees who all work closely together to prepare both internal and external financial reporting. The General Accounting department holds the responsibility for keeping the books, making payments, collecting information from subsidiaries, as well as preparing external financial reporting for some of the TORM Group companies. Furthermore, the department holds a great responsibility in managing and maintaining the Finance platform.
You will report to Head of Financial Controlling & General Accounting and will become a member of a skilled team, consisting of four accountants and three controllers based at TORM's headquarter in Hellerup.
The tasks are versatile and include:
- Month- and quarterly closing
- General bookkeeping
- Reconciliation of data from sub-systems
- Fixed assets/depreciations
- Accounting responsibility for several legal entities
- Preparing Financial Statements
- Will be superuser in our Finance system (Navision)
- Ad hoc tasks, projects and analysis

To succeed in the job
The ideal candidate is highly engaged, service-minded and accurate with a solid background of at least five years’ relevant work experience. The candidate’s educational background is preferable a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (HD in Accounting), Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (Merkonom) or equivalent.
Furthermore, you have/are:
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Danish and English
- Structured and proactive
- Strong analytical and numerical skills in combination with business acumen
- Holds strong Excel competences
- Experience from the shipping industry is an advantage but not a requirement
