Patent Administrator, Intellectual Property, Denmark

To the Intellectual Property (IP) organization in Novozymes, we are seeking a skilled and competent patent administrator.
In the Danish part of the IP organization we are 27 employees including 5 patent administrators. We are currently placed in Bagsværd and will be moving to our new site in Kongens Lyngby in H1 2019. Besides two departments in Denmark, Novozymes has IP departments in the United States, China and India.

As patent administrator, you will work in close cooperation with two to three patent attorneys. You will handle national and international patent applications e.g. handling and filing patent applications and official documents to patent authorities, performing formality procedures, proof-reading patent documents and providing administration support to a few Patent Process Groups (PPGs). You will be in regular contact with patent authorities, patent agents abroad and our IP departments in the United States, China, and India.

Novozymes has focus on digital transformation to bring Novozymes into the next digital level. In Intellectual Property we will also work on upgrading of processes through digitalization and you may be involved in digitalization projects.

In this position you need to:

  • Have an education in language such as BA in English, an education in library and information science, or the like
  • Have two or more years of experience in patent administration from a patent law firm or an IP department in the industry
  • Preferably have passed one or more courses from the Danish Association for IP Administrators (DAIPA).
  • Be experienced in MS Office and preferably a docketing management system
  • On a personal level, be self-motivated, not compromising on the quality of your work and be good at predicting the extent of an assignment and prioritizing your tasks according to deadlines
  • Preferably have an interest in digitalization and optionally experience with digital upgrading of procedures.
