Group Legal Counsel
Experienced and business oriented M&A Lawyer to join GN's professional team of in-house lawyers
Your new company
At GN, we lead major technology shifts with intelligent audio solutions that let our customers hear more, do more and be more. Joining our recently established Group Legal Capital Markets and M&A team within GN Group Legal, you will play a key role in supporting the business on legal matters related to mergers and acquisitions and other strategic investments. As we are experiencing increased internal demand for our services, we are currently adding resources, and we look forward to welcoming you into our dynamic organisation.
Your new role
You will report directly to our Director of Group Legal Capital Markets and M&A and assist our General Counsel. Moreover, you will independently advise on matters related to our medium-sized transactions and provide advice to C-level management for capital markets. Additionally, you will provide legal support on larger strategic projects, and you will become a representative for GN, taking your seat at the negotiation table alongside your financially responsible counterpart. Reaping the benefits of understanding the ins and outs of your organisation, you will – in due time – become a trusted partner to the business. In this role, your key tasks will include contract drafting, engagement with external legal advisors, monitoring control and coordinating their support. Furthermore, you will negotiate alongside your internal stakeholders and provide legal counsel to management. Joining a diverse organisation, you will work alongside everyone from the innovative engineer to the forward-thinking marketing professional. As a trusted partner to the business, you seamlessly combine legal deliberation with commercial considerations. Through time, we expect you to build a strong understanding of our culture as well as our processes, and by listening to the people around you, you will help transform our organisation. Moreover, we encourage to challenge boundaries, assess risks and look for tangible solutions that inspire commercially sound decision-making.
What you’ll need to succeed
To thrive in this position, you understand how to create fruitful working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders from other cultures and professional fields. Moreover, you are naturally service-minded, collaborative and always seeking to find the best possible compromise when needed. You hold a law degree combined with 3+ years of practical experience with M&A. You hold experience from handling M&A procedures and are thereby able to independently lead negotiations. You have a strong sense of business and understand that the law serves to support our commercial efforts. You speak and write English fluently – and while it is not a prerequisite, Danish may be an advantage in your day-to-day interactions.
What you’ll get in return
GN and Group Legal International offer an interesting and challenging job in an international, dynamic and professional organization where constant change is the most predictable element. GN offers a flexible work environment where you have a high degree of influence in your work and the results you and your team create. Furthermore, you are offered a unique possibility for professional and personal development in an organization that is a market leader within audio technology. In addition, you will engage in an informal work environment where humor is an important part of each work day.
