Joining the global biotechnology company, you will play a key role as scientific expert on disease state concepts and Vertex products within cystic fibrosis, clinical and health economic information. Vertex’s product pipeline is focused on infectious diseases, cystic fibrosis, inflammatory diseases and epilepsy. Vertex is seeking to transform the way serious diseases are treated and in that matter the company is experiencing increasing internal and external demand, and looks forward to welcoming you into a dynamic organization where you will engage with clinical trials investigators, cystic fibrosis care teams, and patient advocacy group leads.

Your new role

You will enter a field-based role, where you will report directly to the Country Manager while being the person responsible for ensuring that all barriers to usage of the medicines are addressed. In the position as Key Account Manager you will be the person communicating diseases and product knowledge to relevant stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for individual performance at country level but also contribute to the regional team’s performance by working collaboratively across functional areas and therefore also work on achieving common goals. You enter a highly collaborative and dynamic environment and you will work and interact closely with stakeholders in both Denmark and Norway. Moreover, you will facilitate the coordination of internal and external resources to enhance and promote patient care. You will be participating in meetings, take on project leads and ensuring appropriate resource allocation to meet the customer needs. In time you are expected to embody Vertex’s core values and leadership behaviours and also staying current on all CF information.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this position, you are able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you understand the market dynamics and you are able to create long-term and relevant value for customers and key stakeholders. You have field experience from a biotechnical company, working with rare diseases or other specialty medicine and project management. Furthermore, you have excellent contextual selling skills combined with significant knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines and local funding and decision making at the hospitals and regional levels. You are able to demonstrate passion for improving CF patient care delivery by having the ability to communicate scientific data effectively to different audiences. Additionally, you are able to travel up to 60%, own a valid driver’s license and speak both Danish and English fluently.
