Hays is now recruiting for a leading company within traffic management, infrastructure and high-tech solutions. The company is originally founded in 1987 in the Netherlands and has their headquarter in Gouda but has been operating in the Nordics since 2015. They mainly operate in the traffic and transport sector but also in the technical and energy industries. The company develops advanced traffic system for the city and is just now starting to develop their way into the Danish market. The company employs approximately 200, people consisting of architects, business developers and project managers.
Your new role
On behalf of our client, Hays is offering a unique role as Business Developer within a newly established team. This is a unique opportunity to enter a newly created role and act as a pioneer in securing attractive commercial projects to ensure profit for the company. You will also be responsible for drafting the proposals and justifying them directly to the Business Unit Director. Furthermore, you will play a key role in stimulating proactive entrepreneurship within the organisation by commercially expanding both existing and new relations in the market. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate stakeholder management and manage the customer portfolio consisting of 75% sales and 25 % retention. In this role you will work closely with all internal departments across the company. It is expected from you, that within the first year you will have secured new contracts and developed new customers.
What you’ll need to succeed
The preferred candidate possesses an engineering educational background preferably specialized in Traffic Management. You possess a minimum of 7 years’ experience within a technically-oriented organisation, holding valuable knowledge and a proven track record within sales and stakeholder engagement. Your sales and project management skills ensure engagement with stakeholders and your ability to develop and maintain new customers. You have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Fluency in Danish and English is a must. On a personal level, you are an outgoing and distinct team player who possess a sturdy and mature mind-set and thrive in an independent and ambitious environment.
