Account Manager, Technical Sales, Scandinavia and the UK, Fermented Beverages

Chr. Hansen is looking for an experienced Account Manager for our Scandinavian & North European sales team. We are looking for an independent and highly skilled Account Manager with an application background to drive our sales process in the Beer industry in Scandinavia and UK & Ireland. 

Our technical sales teams drive and prepare customer projects, conduct and evaluate in-field demonstrations at customer’s sites, recommend technical solutions and support with technical service. You will be trained in our sales excellence procedures and become part of a dynamic team with strong team spirit in an existing international setting. Our aim is to be innovative and drive sales excellence to prove the highest values for our customers within Fermented Beverages.

Working location will be at the main office in Hoersholm, Denmark.

Your tasks

As our new Account Manager you will provide technical support, such as conduct in-field demonstrations at customer sites, recommend solutions, define trial end-points, as well as conduct and evaluate trial results in close cooperation with customers. You will be trained to execute sales excellence strategies and marketing concepts at customer level. and with your insight you will participate in long-term account planning in collaboration with the Business Manager and sales representatives. Further you will    

  • Provide feedback and input to long-term segment strategies and business acceleration
  • Perform continuous market observation with respect to product trends
  • Participate actively in internal trainings and marketing meetings and relevant industry forums and fairs
  • Liaise with Commercial Development and Application Department to meet local sales objectives

You will travel up to 50% of your working time, mainly within Scandinavia and the United Kingdom.

Your personal profile

The ideal caniddate has an excellent technical understanding with 10 years of experience within the brewing industry and preferably with a M.Sc. in Brewing Science and Technology. Experience with technical sales and responsibility for top line growth is an advantage. Further, you are:

  • Comfortable in customer interactions and presentations with a great ability to utilize product knowledge to determine the best course of action for customers
  • Proactive with a self-driven and ‘can do’ attitude to solve various tasks
  • Disciplined and willing to learn and upgrade technical know-how in relevant applications and at the same time understand the need to share and learn from best practices across regions and teams
  • Accurate, respectful of deadlines and able to implement changes
  • Ability and willingness to work on administrative tasks on Microsoft Office/Web based platforms, including reporting and project monitoring
  • You have excellent English Language skills both spoken and written
