Assistant Accounting Manager

Working from our office in Copenhagen, you will be part of a strong international accounting team, which is always striving to be one step ahead of the company growth.
Responsibility & tasks
You will be a key player in the handling of the technically complex accounting areas, together with the Global Senior Accounting Manager and Global Head of Accounting. As it is a new position, you will be able to influence it and areas of responsibilities. To start with, your responsibilities and tasks will include assisting the Global Senior Accounting Manager with the following tasks:
- Month-end closing procedures including:
- Intercompany reconciliation
- Prepare and reconcile fixed asset register
- Accounting for Holding companies
- The monthly payroll processes and reconciliations
- Controlling of intercompany and inventory transactions with subsidiaries around the world
- Assistance with monthly inventor reconciliation
- Payment of creditors including correspondence with vendors, and a key player implementing
- Mapping and documenting accounting processes
- Participation in Accounting projects
- Preparation of audit documentation and specifications
You are going to be one of the key employees in accounting. With your education (e.g. HDR, CMA or other relevant) and 5+ years’ experience from working with accounting at Group level in an international Company, you know how to approach a challenge and enjoys that not two days are the same.
Excel is your greatest tool, and you describe yourself as a superuser in the system while also having experience from e.g. Dataløn (Or equivalent) and Microsoft Office. You have thorough knowledge of Danish accounting standards and tax/vat rules, while being proficient with IFRS standards.
Even though you are sitting in the Danish office in Copenhagen, working closely with the Danish accounting team, you are fluent in English and a great communicator who enjoys working with colleagues worldwide.
