Strategic Buyer (Indirect Procurement)

For our international procurement team in Region Nordic/Baltic, we are now hiring a Strategic Buyer (Indirect Procurement).
What you can expect
As a member of an enthusiastic procurement team, you will ensure reliable, economic and competitive supply for products and services in the Nordic/Baltic region. You will act as a focal point for all procurement topics at the BASF sites in the region and check that the purchasing needs are met and be a local marketeer for procurement initiatives. To achieve this, you will develop and implement procurement strategies and supply concepts. In addition, you will negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships and steer purchasing activities accordingly. You will be a critical link between BASF procurement and the sites’ needs, support developing and maintaining close and productive relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication and proactive challenging.
What we expect
- A degree within Economics, Business Management or similar.
- Professional experience in Procurement and good understanding of procurement interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good commercial awareness, along with an ability to build relationships and gain cooperation.
- Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages and excellent English skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to travel regularly.
- Open-minded, flexible and culturally agile.
