Supply Chain Manager – our Swidnica Office

This position is based in our centralized European operation in Swidnica, Poland, and you will be reporting to our Global Head of Supply Chain, who is based in Denmark.

In this newly created position, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager whose main objectives will be to work as a liaison between our operational departments of Planning, Customer Service, Logistic and Warehouse, all operating out of our Swidnica office.
You will take charge or our Logistic department, where currently 2 trusted employees are handling the daily operation. You will support the operation and further, you will drive and succeed in the expansion and further establishment of the logistic function that will strengthen and improve our delivery performance towards our customers.
Further, you will be the point of contact for all commercially related tasks and questions pertaining to Supply Chain of DBI.
- Supply Chain Management support to our Polish office
- Drive and secure logistic process improvement to improve delivery performance
- Ensure a good interface between Sales and Operations.
- Oversee and assist Customer Service, Logistics and Planning functions in Poland and secure a good operational flow in and for European customers.
- Be the point of contact on all issues relating to Supply Chain in Poland
- Assist in quality tasks, such as claims, quarantine, stock and audits
- Manager of Logistic department staff with potential dotted line responsibility for Customer Service and Planning.
You have an analytical and ‘can-do-it’ mindset combined with a structured overview second to none. Further, you possess great coordination skills with an eager understanding of how “the parts of any given job fit into the whole’, and you know how to motivate people to work systematically and in a structured way to do a great job.
You have a keen awareness of the impact of the full Value Chain in our business cycle and how you may optimize and improve the Value Chain. Thus, you are able to identify shortcomings and inefficient processes and workflows. You have the experience in seeing, defining and resolving such issues.
You enjoy working with data and data analyses to create overview and insights in order to make appropriate decisions on how to make improvement in any given area within your function.
You possess great communication skills allowing you to communicate clearly and precisely with our organization in Denmark and other regions in the world.
You have a strong record of setting and achieving ambitious short- and long-term goals.
- Master level degree in logistics, supply chain or similar
- Languages written and oral: English (fluent), Polish (fluent)
- Minimum 3 years of supply chain experience, preferably having experience as a manager
- International experience
- Strong collaboration skills – working with many stakeholders on all levels of the organization
- Analytical and structured approach
- Result driven mindset
- Independent and self-driven way of working
- Managerial experience.
Working out of DBI Office Swidnica, Towarowa 30, 58-100 Swidnica, Poland.
Possibly 2-4 travels/year - primarily to HQ Denmark.
Terms and Conditions: 6 months’ probation period
