Sales Manager for Scandinavia

We are looking for a strong Sales Manager for Vikan, one of the world's leading manufacturers of hygienic and efficient cleaning solutions. Together with your team, it will be your mission to secure, explore and improve sales results in Scandinavia.
Play an important role; develop and implement sales activities
In this role you will lead a team of four direct reports in total, which will allow you to use your strong people management and sales skills. As the new Sales Manager, Scandinavia, you will have the overall responsibility for maintaining and expanding existing business as well as identifying new business and opportunities in your region. You will have a wide interface with both internal and external stakeholders, and you will play a central role in creating impact and changes for Vikan in the current region. The position entails approximately 40 travelling days per year. Your key tasks will include:
- To develop, execute and follow-up on sales and marketing activities primary in Scandinavia
- To ensure the development and training of the regional distributors regarding sales and product knowledge
- To map the current market dynamics and business structures in selected markets
- To drive and secure day-to-day sales operations and own key accounts
- To implement and execute on the agreed overall growth strategy
- To drive the direction and results by showing the way based on solid sales management and execution power.
Finally, you will help foster and facilitate long-term relationships, and you will be part of creating business partners and end-users to ensure Vikan is seen as the preferred partner/supplier. The position is located in Copenhagen/Islands Brygge, close to the airport. Furthermore, you will report to the Regional Sales Director.
Strong leader with solid experience in how to use value-based solution sale
We are looking for a strong and authentic leader with drive, ambition and a positive can-do attitude. You have a relevant educational background and + 5 years-experience from a similar role in an international company e.g. in Food & Beverage or Facility Management. You see yourself as a playing coach, and you have documented experience from management of a successful sales team. Moreover, your sales toolbox is heavy, and you know how to approach value-based solution sales. Experience from working with distributors will be an advantage. It is essential that you are result-oriented and that you have strong negotiation skills. You are also good at leading change and know how to prioritise your deadlines. You master English and some of the Scandinavian languages. Finally, you are a great and diplomatic communicator at all organisational levels.
