For our EHS team in the Nordic/Baltic Country Cluster, we are now looking for an experienced Environment, Health & Safety Specialist.

What you can expect

Working as EHS Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Support site management and local EHS Manager to follow the BASF’ EHS requirements.
  • Provide expert EHS guidance to the sites e.g. Risk Assessment, Industrial Hygiene and preferably Process Safety (e.g. ATEX).
  • Maintain regular communication with site management and establish cross country EHS networks.
  • Analyse EHS performance data to identify trends.
  • Develop and maintain IT systems and other tools and promote their use across all sites in Nordic/Baltic e.g. by providing training sessions.

What we expect

  • A degree or equivalent, ideally in a science or engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment and a good understanding of EHS legislation.
  • An ability to work across countries with different cultural backgrounds.
  • You take ownership and show persistence to achieve results and to exceed expectations.
  • You act in collaboration with other teams or units.
  • An ability to interact professionally and influence site managers to adopt systems and to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Good language skills, as a minimum fluency in English and one of the Scandinavian languages in speech and writing.
  • Demonstrable IT system skills.
  • You must be willing to travel, as there will be frequent travel to the sites (approx. 20-30 days pr. year).
