The Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, at the Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences – Business, Technology and Design, Germany, is inviting applications for the following post to be filled at the earliest possible date:

Professorship W 2 "Transportation Systems"

We are seeking to appoint a civil engineer who has extensive knowledge in the field of traffic planning in civil engineering and who has proven this knowledge by special scientific achievements.

Applicants must be prepared to cover the entire spectrum of transportation systems and traffic planning subjects in the civil engineering Bachelor's and Master's programs in the form of lectures and seminars/practice sessions. The main focus of this professorship is to impart knowledge of road planning and road design on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Knowledge in the field of planning and design of railroad engineering is advantageous. Applicants must also be willing to teach other basic subjects of the Faculty of Engineering, especially in the field of civil engineering. They should be prepared to promote interdisciplinary cooperation. The willingness to work in academic self-administration is assumed.

Courses such as lectures, seminars and practical laboratory courses are to be held in German.

The professorship will be filled as a civil servant position on a temporary, lifetime or salaried basis. The probationary period is 2 years. Regarding the general requirements for employment, please refer to § 58 of the State University Law Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
