At Johnson Controls in Hornslet, we are looking for a structured and proactive buyer who is administratively strong and has a collaborative mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills. We are seeking someone who is self-motivated and open minded with a passion to challenge status quo and drive for continuous improvement. As a buyer at Johnson Controls, you will have extensive interaction with various stakeholders and become part of a dynamic procurement department.

You will be part of a small but close-knit purchasing team, where an informal atmosphere and strong work ethic prevail. There are two buyers located at the Hornslet site, and you will be one of them. Additionally, you will be part of a collaborative team consisting of 10 individuals based in North-West Europe. The team's manager is based in the Netherlands (responsible for North-West Europe), but you will have daily online contact and collaboration with her. There is also a strong collaboration with procurement organization in EMEA.

Job description:

You will manage the execution of strategic sourcing, procurement operations and selection of suppliers for field project purchases to support the business unit needs for sub-contracting and the related direct materials. Furthermore, you are capable to participate in tender-to-projects life cycle to manage third party sourcing and procurement activities, applying best practices to these projects to achieve year on year saving, compliance and efficiency.

  • Demonstrate strong skills to drive procurement strategies to achieve best in class delivery, quality, cost, and compliance in country to align to business outcome
  • Drive procurement process on suppliers’ framework (identification, research, evaluation, selection, management) and management of supplier database including strategic suppliers
  • Drive standard pricing in an effective way with management of material master database
  • Lead from procurement in projects/product life cycle to manage all 3rd party sourcing and procurement activities, applying best practices to these projects to achieve year on year saving by leveraging on “spend”, focus on compliance and efficiency
  • Manage daily procurement transactions that involve the end-to-end procure-to-pay process, including but not limited to new supplier approval, vendor master maintenance, PO execution, delivery of goods and services and three-way matching of invoice/PO/delivery note
  • Work across functional teams and manage expectations effectively, in pursuit of sustainable best in class strategic sourcing practices aligned to global direction
  • Uphold internal and external policies, regulations, and laws
  • Implements continuous improvement and cost reduction culture, leveraging on best practice across regions
  • Support other initiatives (local / regional level) that were driven by EMEA Procurement and Transformation Team whenever it is required

Required profile:

  • Experience with technical categories/products, preferably gained within an international organization
  • Minimum of 5 years in Procurement (Negotiation/Supplier Management/cost analysis)
  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Sourcing Experience in negotiating and establishing Master Service Agreement (MSA) and Annual Schedule of Rates (SOR) with subcontractors
  • Experience in working with ERP, purchasing tools and process & contract T&C
  • You have a broad understanding of procurement and may have had exposure to areas such as project management, logistics, or production
  • You communicate professionally in both Danish and English
  • You are proactive, self-motivated, open minded and a real team player

It’s an advantage if you have experience with procurement project management and suppliers / subcons management experience in the Industrial refrigeration, HVAC, Electronic Security, Building (Construction / Facilities Management) industry.
