Joining the Cruise Sales Team as a Sales Executive, you will be the face of Johnson Controls towards our customers, and you will focus on always delivering excellent value and service with integrity.

What you will do

At Johnson Controls Cruise & Advanced Offshore division, we are a dynamic global team committed to delivering state-of-the-art HVAC & R solutions to a diverse clientele across the Cruise, Offshore, Luxury & Passenger vessel industries. We operate with a robust global presence, supported by dedicated service teams located in 10 strategic sites worldwide.


You will be based either in our Sweden office or at another one of our European locations. This position requires proximity to our customer base, enabling frequent visits to clients throughout Europe and potentially other global destinations. Travel is expected to be around 20-30 days annually, which may include trips within Europe or to the Americas.


  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Drive B2B sales of our HVAC & R solutions, with a primary focus on the Cruise sector. Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with company goals.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the cruise ship new build sector. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to position our offerings strategically. Foster long-term partnerships with key stakeholders and industry leaders.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, end users, and influencers. Visit clients to understand their specific needs and requirements, ensuring our solutions align perfectly with their projects.
  • Technical Specification and Project Oversight: Oversee the development of project specifications, quotes, and budgets. Ensure all technical documentation is accurate and meets client needs. Follow through on projects from initiation to completion, guaranteeing client satisfaction and project success.
  • CRM and Pipeline Management: Keep a meticulous record of sales activities and client interactions within our CRM system (Salesforce). Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular updates during team meetings.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the sales support team to ensure a cohesive approach to client management and project delivery. Mentor team members, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Market Insight: Regularly gather and report insights on industry developments, customer feedback, and technological advancements to guide future business strategies.

Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a self-motivated professional who excels both as an individual and within a team. You should possess:

  • Proficient stakeholder analysis skills, with the ability to forge and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in international sales, with a specific focus on new build projects within the cruise ship industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC or refrigeration systems tailored to new cruise vessel constructions.
  • Strong familiarity with electrical and HVAC equipment, including the ability to interpret complex diagrams and technical specifications related to maritime environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively converting technical details into actionable sales opportunities.
  • Proven track record of engaging with shipbuilders, designers, and technical teams during the critical phases of new cruise ship constructions.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with additional languages being a plus due to the international scope of the role.
