Pro­cu­re­ment Manager


What will you do

The Procurement Managers role is critical to supporting the effective delivery of projects within the Global Marine & Navy business unit, through implementation of the procurement strategy. Working with other Procurement Managers, buying teams and other internal stakeholders, you will assess and develop the supply base, conduct negotiations, and take ownership of various new initiatives to drive savings and improvements throughout the procurement function. You will deliver and report on key performance metrics at a senior level, driving high performance and continuous improvement. Collaborating with external suppliers & subcontractors to identify partnership opportunities, you’ll be driving a proactive approach to Procurement leadership, with a focus on delivering long term, sustainable and efficient supply chain agreements.

How will you do it:

  • Leading complex supplier negotiations
  • Leading and developing an international buying team with 6 direct and 2 indirect reports
  • Encouraging internal collaboration & synergies with other procurement teams (e.g. Category Management)
  • Developing & delivering an ambitious savings plan with activity roadmap, as well as additional added-value opportunities
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and developing strong relationships internally and externally with the supply chain
  • Influencing stakeholders to understand, align and deliver against priorities
  • Driving a high performance culture through leading Procurement best practice methodology & processes & ensuring compliance

What we look for

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a procurement leadership role, experienced in people development
  • Proven track record in delivering transformational results including optimized financial targets
  • Experience managing internal stakeholders and external suppliers at the highest levels
  • People focused with the ability to coach, motivate and lead a diverse team across multiple locations
  • Results driven with strong delivery experience
  • Proactive, adaptable & flexible approach
  • Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally
  • Drive to ‘make things happen’ and create opportunities
  • Commercially astute with a creative approach to problem solving
  • Fluent in English & Danish
