What you will do:

As CTO you will be a motivating and proactive leader and responsible for driving our product development and IT infrastructure with a commercial mindset. This role is critical for scaling our SaaS platform, developing a high-performance product and ensuring a scalable platform.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Platform Stability

• Participating in develop and take ownership of execute the company’s long-term product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Plecto’s business goals and market opportunities
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle for our data-intensive web and mobile applications, ensuring efficient feature delivery and maintaining technical debt at manageable levels
• Oversee and optimize our cloud hosting, infrastructure and costs, balancing performance with financial efficiency
• Ensure a stable high performing product, managing incidents and pager duty
• Implement robust risk management protocols, compliance (including GDPR), and best practices for system security
• Defining internal processes, cross-department collaboration and efficiency
• Technical escalation point, getting hands-on with critical incidents, complex architectural challenges, and performance bottlenecks to ensure swift resolution.

Leadership & Culture

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a global team our product team consisting of 10 employees split between Aarhus and Warsaw
• Establish and enforce best practices in agile development, quality assurance, and DevOps
• Champion a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, accountability, and collaboration

Required Technical Expertise

• Executive Experience: 3+ years in a senior technology leadership role
• High-performance Track Record: Proven experience from other SaaS companies is strongly preferred
• Technology Stack: Hands-on experience with our core technologies, specifically Python, Django, React, and Kubernetes is expected
• Data Infrastructure: Experience working with data-intensive web and mobile applications and familiarity with operating and scaling ElasticSearch clusters
• Compliance & Security: Solid background in managing GDPR, compliance, and incident handling within a cloud environment
• AI: Experience with using AI both within an organisation and in the product
