Recording of telephone conversations

We record telephone conversations when we have a discussion concerning the carrying out of a job, but only if you have given your consent during the call. The conversations are recorded to ensure that we remember details about your requirements for the job, and to document what has been agreed.

The recordings are only shared internally at StepStone and only with employees working on the job in question. The recordings may also be shared with external suppliers who carry out jobs on behalf of StepStone.

Categories of personal data

The data we process comprises all types of information that emerge during the conversation, including your name, your contact details, your voice, etc.

Our legal basis for the processing is your consent to the recording. Consent is voluntary, and you can revoke it at any time by contacting us.

Storage and deletion

We store recorded telephone conversations for 3 months, after which they are deleted. .

Complaint handling

If you complain to us about matters related to the contents of a particular conversation that has been recorded and is still being stored by StepStone, we may choose to listen to the conversation in order to process the complaint and, after a specific assessment, decide to save the conversation as documentation in connection with the complaint.

Your rights

You can invoke the rights provided for in the General Data Protection Regulation and request access to a recorded telephone conversation (before it is deleted after 3 months).

You have the right to withdraw your consent, upon which the recording will be deleted.
