Head of Quality & Com­pli­ance

We are looking for a highly motivated Head of Quality & Compliance with the right toolbox, a passion for development and a structured work method. The position offers the opportunity to the right candidate to take the next step by becoming responsible for setting the direction in terms of quality and compliance for Weilbach.

The company is at a stage where Quality and Compliance management needs to be taken to another level, implemented deeper in the organization and turned into a competitive advantage. You will work closely with all functions globally, including Senior Management, thus playing a vital role in improving operational processes and implementing measures to support the business.

Weilbach was founded in 1755 but has undergone a transformation over the past years by growing our digital offerings. Hence, we now focus on developing and selling nautical data and cutting-edge software to the shipping industry globally. In total, we are 66 staff, comprising the HQ in Denmark and subsidiaries in the UK, Singapore, Egypt, and Canada. Further, Weilbach has launched a new growth strategy for 2031.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Build and develop the Quality Management function for the Weilbach Group
  • Ensure required certification, such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001
  • Establish process landscape
  • Build Business continuity framework and required processes
  • Ensure QM and governance are properly implemented
  • Establish a Know-Your-Customer process (KYC)
  • Obtain type approval for products
  • Conduct audits and management reviews
  • Monitor the development within relevant standards and new legislation
  • Keep yourself and the Weilbach Group assured within Quality Management.

Besides, we offer a position in a company with an informal atmosphere, short decision-making processes, and generally good conditions, i.e. 37.5 hours weekly, incl. lunch break, health insurance, lunch arrangement, media package and opportunities for further education etc. We are located Kgs. Lyngby. You will be working with colleagues across our organization and will have the occasional opportunity to travel to our other offices around the world.

We expect that you

  • Have 3-5 years of experience with certification, standards, audits and compliance
  • Relevant education
  • Have experience with change management
  • A good communicator
  • Self-starting and good at building processes and structures from scratch
  • Preferably you have experience from the maritime industry or equivalent highly regulated industries
  • Ability to drive projects across the organization
  • Speak and write Danish and English fluently.

The position will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
